Country Manager Iberica Textile

For an international Company operating in textile for clothing producers we are searching for the Country Manager based in Porto to drive the Iberian market. Reason for being: participates to commercial and customer satisfaction strategy and guarantees its part of generation of revenue and commercial profitability, mobilize local teams to full execution of strategy. He/she is responsible for the local business development and the operation of the local manufacturing facilities and for the P&L results.

Main Missions:

  • Achieve business targets and guarantee sales revenue and profitability in the short and long term.
  • Achieving the set business targets for the Country, including Sales, Profitability, Market Share, Product Strategy, Customer Satisfaction, Growth, etc.
  • Defining commercial plans and setting annual budgets, business plans and objectives: volumes, products to push, to abandon or to launch, key customers priorities, pricing policy, promotional actions.
  • Controlling and analyzing costs and risks and proposing solutions or new actions to management and finance.
  • Handling budget preparation in relation to the profit margin of standards and its corresponding updates along the year.
  • Establishing monthly projection of the costs and incomes, analysing variations and proposing new commercial action plans.

 

To drive and monitor development of consistent business and commercial strategies he/she will:

  • Identify commercial issues or opportunities and leading analysis and recommendations to business strategic thinking and direction.
  • Develop competitive vision and intelligence and analysing trends, opportunities and risks on markets and business lines.
  • Monitor the different means and actions to leverage business and cross-selling.
  • Define local communication, promotion and commercial events in direction of customers or partners and monitoring directly in compliance with the Group communication strategy.
  • Make proposition to manage the products portfolio and to rationalize the range of products and items.

 

To plan, structure and manage the commercial team and functions to serve enterprise goals in the short-term as well as the long-term he/she will:

  • Manage commercial teams and results.
  • Define competitive attitudes and practices, identifying skills and competencies to develop or to recruit.
  • Set up and monitoring individual objectives, commercial means and commercial incentives.
  • Deploy and accompany customers visits and commercial appointments, developing feedback practices with the sales representatives and technical sales.
  • Analyse training needs and implementing people and team action’s plan to develop product knowledge, skills and best practices.
  • Lead change and commercial excellence, improving the responsiveness and flexibility of sales team, convincing them of its usefulness and relevance.

 

To define and monitor customer centricity policy and ensure customer satisfaction it will be request to:

  • Ensure a customer-centric commercial approach in achieving a world class customer service.
  • Develop and implement new methods and tools and monitoring the CRM approach.
  • Develop constant presence of sales force inside client’s entity to listen and assess their needs and claims, to measure the competitor actions and to be aware their inventory, flows and innovation.
  • Monitor some contracts and key accounts and develop commercial relationships with key customers or new potential client.

To work closely with all stakeholders as industrial, supply chain, and quality to ensure the best way to deliver products and services in a compliant and profitable manner:

  • Organizing and leading sales team, technical sales managers, sales administration and domestic marketing analysts.
  • Driving operation efficiently, include all teams and individuals in the country organization.
  • Establish and upholding standard operating procedures.
  • Manage and operate the local manufacturing facilities.
  • Be accountable for efficiency, quality, in HS&E aspects and control applications of rules, legal and local obligations, Group guidelines and policies.

Main Qualifications:

  • Access to this job is made from higher education schools, a degree from a school of textile or chemical engineer is highly appreciation for this position.
  • One of the following qualification is required:
  • Degree in a Business/Finance related field.
  • Masters or MBA degree
  • A Honours Degree/Postgraduate Diploma in addition to a significant work experience of at least 10 years.
